What campus marketing is
Campus marketing is reaching students inside their colleges: canteens, fests, hostels, societies, classrooms and the WhatsApp groups that run campus life. With more than 40 million students in Indian higher education, it is the most concentrated way to put a product in front of 18 to 24 year olds, get it tried, and turn the triers into advocates. Done well it combines on-ground presence with student-made content, so a sampling drive in Delhi becomes a reel seen in Guwahati.
Formats a campus marketing agency runs
Campus activations: stalls, kiosks, workshops, competitions and fest tie-ups. Campus sampling: trained teams, permissions, product handling and feedback capture. Campus ambassador programmes: recruit, screen, onboard, activate, track and reward students who represent the brand for a semester. Student influencer marketing: creators who are actual students, briefed on real college moments. Youth outreach through societies and clubs, and digital amplification through student media pages and WhatsApp networks.
How a campaign runs, step by step
Brief. Brand, audience, cities, timing and the outcome. Plan in 48 hours. Colleges, formats, creators, timeline and indicative budget. Permissions and recruitment. College approvals, society partners, ambassadors screened and trained. Activate. On-ground teams and creators run together, usually within 7 to 10 working days of sign-off. Report. Footfall, samples, content, reach, installs or registrations against the plan, with photos and learnings for the next wave.
Proof from the campaigns
Numbers from recent work, each one a full case study: ITC YiPPee! reached 1.6M+ views with student creators; Unacademy filled 8.5K+ registrations through campus outreach; EatSure added 30K+ signups from student communities; Bombay Shaving Company crossed 5.6M views on a sensitive category; Pee Safe sampled 4.5K+ students through ambassadors; Motorola put phones in 1K+ students' hands and 900K+ views.
Cities and colleges
We run in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata and 200+ cities including the college towns that national plans forget: Kota, Manipal, Pilani, Vellore and Roorkee. Every city has its own campus playbook.
What campus marketing costs
Most brands start with a pilot. Indicative bands, before GST: a single-city pilot or a creator-only campaign from ₹2 lakh; a multi-city programme with ambassadors, activations and creators ₹5 to 15 lakh; a national programme across 50+ colleges ₹15 to 50 lakh and above. You get a plan and an indicative budget within 48 hours of the brief, and most campaigns are live within 7 to 10 working days of sign-off.
Campus marketing and the wider youth picture
Campus is where the audience is densest, but the same students are also Gen Z consumers off campus. When a brief needs reach beyond colleges we extend it through our youth marketing and Gen Z marketing work: creators, communities and performance channels that follow students home.
